Update Notes (9/6): Guild Collaboration, Improved Auto-Battle, Player Mail, and More forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56285/update-notes-9-6-guild-collaboration-improved-auto-battle-player-mail-and-more/p1Per Joel (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) SEPTEMBER 05 2017 12:21PM in Patch Notes Hello everyone! We will be releasing a new update on the app store tomorrow (9/6), which will include the following changes: New additions: Player to Player Mail – Players can now send mail to their Friends and Guildmates! Speed Controls – Now set your combat speed in Campaigns and ToP up to 2x normal speed! Auto Battle - Player can now choose whether they want their heroes to use their base attack or all their abilities. Tech improvements that will allow a lot more events and bonuses around guilds. This might not sound very exciting on the surface, but it's going to be the basis for a lot of fun things in guild events moving forward. These changes make it so we can implement guild-wide rewards when players take certain actions. For example, we can now do a special purchase that will pay out not only to the purchaser, but to all of their guildmates as well! Reduced bundle sizes! This means less memory being used by the game! Added player DBID to the initial game loading screen. Ridealong Dungeons now Save Team Lineups. Passively update the schedule - That means fewer instances of DBJGB! We fixed a bunch of bugs as well. Here are a few of the more interesting ones: Fixed Facebook authentication issues Fixed the issue where if the game closed unexpectedly and no "Continue" Option was given. Fixed Feedback Button in the OPTIONS menu. Google Devices on OS 4 and 5 should now be able to sign into rave. Failed to connect to the Server Error message could trigger when attempting to login with a Big Fish Account Leaving a Guild no longer requires a hard close and relaunch to successfully show the account has left Other quest tabs will no longer scroll when switching away from a tab being actively scrolled Heroes no longer lose long tap functionality when cryo-frozen or stoned Fixed rare issue where player returning from a long time ago would have issues logging in. The Epic Boss Music sometimes didn't work properly and made our composer sad. That's fixed now. If Shade possesses your hero and you lose a raid, your hero will not longer appear 'alive' on the results screen. Shade's Possession no longer keeps enemy/ally heroes alive in ToP. If your rune inventory is full, you should now be warned before entering a dungeon. Epic weapons are now removed from drop table after acquiring them. We will have our first Guild Boss Invasion event next week. While the update is being released tomorrow, we will not be forcing the update on players until a few days after the release, and we want to make sure that everyone is in before we start the event.

Update: Boss Invasion Event end time and Guild Crowns Tournament forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56391/update-boss-invasion-event-end-time-and-guild-crowns-tournament/p1Per Eej (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) SEPTEMBER 11 2017 10:33AM in Special Event Discussion and Strategy Hi all, As part of the guild summit this last weekend, the concern was raised about Boss Invasion ending the following Monday (Sep 18th) at 3pm given that the "weekly reset" for Guild Crown tournament ends 15 hours before that at Midnight CT on Sep 18th. As discussed in the summit, we're working to find a solution such that we resolve this conflict. We don't have the exact answer yet, but will update this thread as we reach a solution.

First Guild Boss Invasion This Thursday - Info Here! forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56407/first-guild-boss-invasion-this-thursday-info-here/p1Per Joel (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) SEPTEMBER 12 2017 2:17PM edited SEPTEMBER 12 2017 2:38PM in Special Event Discussion and Strategy Hi everyone! We're excited to announce that our newest event, the Guild Boss Invasion, will be running for the first time this Thursday through Sunday. This event has several mechanics that have never been used before, but is honestly more complex to write out than to actually understand. A few starting points of information: Similar to past Guild events, the objective is to help you guild collect Guild Points. Unlike Guild Games, this is NOT a competitive event! While there are leaderboards, your guild's payout at the end of the event will not be based on your ranking. Instead, we will be paying out prizes based on certain thresholds of Guild Points. These thresholds will be visible by tapping the "Rewards" button on the leaderboard. Unlike Guild Games, you do NOT need to be in a guild before the event starts, and you CAN earn points for multiple guilds during the event. You may join and leave guilds to you heart's content and pitch in to help other guilds if you want, but you will only get rewards for the guild that you are in at the time of the payout. The main event leaderboard cutoff will occur at 11pm CST on Sunday night and rewards will be distributed shortly after that time. Please allow around 15 minutes for rewards to be distributed after the cutoff time. There will be day-long 10x repeatable quests available on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. These quests pay out Solaris tokens and count towards daily leaderboards that operate similarly to the daily quest leaderboard from the most recent Guild Games, but with the join/leave rules mentioned above. You can complete quests for multiple guilds, but you will only get the payout for the guild that you are in at the end of that 'day'. 3pm CST on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There will be no daily repeatable quest on Sunday. There is only one payout threshold for the daily leaderboards: 250 quest completions. This means if 25 people complete all 10 of their quests, everyone in the guild is set. If 50 people complete 5, the guild is set. If 50 people complete all 10 of their quests, the payout will be the same as if 25 people completed all 10 of their quests. If 25 people in your guild complete all 10 of their quests early on and you're feeling generous, you can hop into another guild that might be smaller and need some help getting to the 250 threshold, then return to your guild before 3pm CST the next day. Then both guilds will get the payout, but once again keep in mind that you'll only get the payout (or lack thereof) for the guild you're in at 3pm CST. Now for the main event! The Guild Boss Invasion is built around special dungeons, but you cannot use stamina to run these dungeons, you need a new resource called Courage. Courage is a resource that we are using only for Boss Invasions. It will go away after the event and be reset in future Boss Invasion events, this is not something you need to track or tend to long-term. How Courage Works: All players will be given an amount of Courage for free each day. (120 on day 1, 40 each day after at 3pm CST.) Additional Courage can be earned from quests throughout the event. (220 + 2 for each guildmate that completes certain quests. 520 Max across all quests for a guild of 50). This comes to a total of 760 Courage per Player over the course of the event, if every Player in a 50-person Guild completes every Courage Quest. If you want to contribute more to your guild, you can purchase special Courage offers in the shop. Each day you can purchase a “Guild Bomb” for 50 courage to you, and 2 Courage to each of your guildmates. You can also purchase a special 4x Point multiplier for the next 5 Courage dungeons you run, and 50 Courage (enough for 5 runs). NOTE: If you leave your guild and join a new one, you will not be able to purchase another Guild Bomb. NOTE FROM JOEL: This functionality was a significant part of our update last week that wasn't immediately obvious. We're very excited to now have the ability to have individual actions benefit their guildmates in real time! Super fancy! Guild Points: Guild Points can only be earned in the Event dungeons that require Courage to enter. Each room in a dungeon pays out a specific amount of points upon completion. This means you will earn Guild Points even if you can’t finish a dungeon, if you complete at least 1 room. As your Guild earns more Points, you will unlock new Event Dungeons. These dungeons are more challenging and pay out a higher amount of Guild Points. The third and final Courage dungeon requires the new Legendary Hero, Solaris, to enter. Through event quests you can earn up to 200 Tokens for Solaris. You can also buy more tokens in the shop during the event. Event Tickets: The main way you earn tickets is by working together as a Guild to earn Guild Points that will be paid out on Sunday, but you also earn a few event tickets for each Courage Dungeon you complete. The big reward for achieving 875,000 Guild Points is a brand-new type of special Rune called an “Incineration Rune”. Incineration runes only come as 5* Legendary, with a Burning Touch passive. There are bonus rewards beyond the 875,000 Guild Point threshold, but these are considered a Bonus, and only earn additional tickets. The event shop will open at the beginning of the event on Thursday and remain open until Tuesday. You will be able to earn tickets from event dungeons as well. PLEASE NOTE: The number of tickets you can earn in this event is notably less than the number you've been able to earn in other events, but the ticket shop prices have been scaled accordingly. Most of the purchases in the ticket shop will not be possible unless your guild reaches certain leaderboard payout thresholds. There are many rewards (and Solaris tokens!) that you can earn without tickets. The purchases available when the event starts on Thursday will be available throughout the event, and no new ticket purchases will be added to the shop during the event. Other Notes: There are individual quests available during this event. Rewards include Solaris tokens, Courage for you, and Courage for all your guildmates. Quests that pay out Courage to your guildmates will also pay out that amount of Courage to you. None of the quests will pay out Guild Points or tickets. There is an event dungeon that requires Stamina and not Courage. This is intentional, and this dungeon does NOT pay out Guild Points, but has other rewards.

Hero Spotlight: Solaris forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56428/hero-spotlight-solaris/p1Per Joel Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight SEPTEMBER 14 2017 12:58PM edited SEPTEMBER 14 2017 1:42PM in Hero Spotlights Background:A hooded figure trudged through the knee-deep snow, his cloak billowing in the wind. He adjusted his hood against the cold, shivering, but couldn’t wipe the evil smirk off his face. Dark Winter was proceeding exactly as his master had planned. Seeking warmth and protection, Forest creatures dove deep into burrows, where the roots of corruption could transform them filling the forest with minions of the Boss of Darkness. He turned to leave, as the sun rose behind him… but night had just fallen, and behind him was due north. He whipped around to face the light only to see searing flames racing toward him. He dropped behind the nearest snowbank as the world erupted in steam and blazing heat. Swooping overhead, a bird made of pure fire let out a challenging cry. Grimacing, the man stood and drew in a dark power and threw a bolt of raw spirit energy at his foe. The corrupting energy splashed harmlessly off the fiery being eliciting a mocking screech as it swept around for another pass. Powerless the man gulped and fled. But the dark work was done: Numerous forest denizens emerged corrupted by evil roots. The Phoenix, Solaris, as she came to be known, saved many more and ended the Dark Winter, with her fiery will alone. Solaris also made a vow to purify the corrupted and restore balance to the land, regardless of cost. Most Hated Hero:Pontifex – Pontifex has uses a dark magic to create a warped version of her power, and Solaris believes he has ties to those that corrupted the forest. Element: Fire: +30% bonus against NATURE enemies, -25% vs WATER enemies. Tags: Legendary Beast Healer Traits: FLYING – Takes less damage from Melee attacks. MAGICAL – Takes less damage from non-Physical attacks. Abilities and Ascensions: Fire Bird – Ranged Fire attack on all enemies, with a chance to Burn. Heals all allies, and doubles the heal on kill. PHOENIX RISING – Heals and cleanses all allies, buffs her team to prevent corpses from being removed. (Phoenix Feather) Lasts 3 turns. Summer Heat Got You Down? Cool Off With The Water Festival! forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56508/summer-heat-got-you-down-cool-off-with-the-water-festival/p1Per Joel (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) SEPTEMBER 18 2017 1:01PM in Special Event Discussion and Strategy Summer isn't over yet (at least for those who live in the northern hemisphere)! Kai and the other Water Heroes are making a splash! Cool off from the Guild Boss Invasion with some refreshing quests and a frosty dungeon that has jackpot loot hidden in it! In addition, Water Heroes with alternate skins equipped will start all battles with the Chilling Skin passive. In a change from prior events, this passive will now apply in Tower of Pwnage battles as well. The Water Heroes will be splashing about until Thursday at 3pm CST. We recommend keeping Solaris away from water though.

This Festival is On Fire! forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56597/this-festival-is-on-fire/p1Per Joel (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) SEPTEMBER 25 2017 1:01PM in Special Event Discussion and Strategy The Fire Heroes are feeling all warm and fuzzy. They just want to give their enemies a nice, warm embrace. Of course, some might find the embrace is a bit TOO warm because of the Burning Skin passive that they all get during the Fire Festival, whoops! Squinch is definitely in his element. He's running around in circles, spreading fiery warmth everywhere he goes, how delightful!

Minor Update: 2x Speed, Matchmaking Tweaks, and Auto-Battle Change forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56598/minor-update-2x-speed-matchmaking-tweaks-and-auto-battle-change/p1Per Joel (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) SEPTEMBER 25 2017 2:31PM edited September 25 2017 3:24PM in Announcements Hey everyone! We're releasing a few changes today that people have been asking for. You can now increase the game speed in PVP! We had planned to release this in our next major update, as there is a minor UI inconvenience that is caused by the current implementation, namely that the names of the players will not appear in the lower right corner of the screen. We felt that the benefits of implementing the increased speed option now outweighed the loss of names in the corner of the screen, as you can still see names in the battle log. We will be changing the layout of the button in our next major release so you can see the names again. Auto-Battle will no longer deactivate when one of your heroes dies. We have made some changes to our matchmaking procedures to increase consistency and balance. Boss Mode quests have been re-added and are infinitely repeatable in anticipation of future dungeon releases. NOTE: This is NOT an indication of impending releases, just the groundwork for inevitable additions down the line.

Warriors Want Tickets and Squinch Seeks Scaly Skin forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56637/warriors-want-tickets-and-squinch-seeks-scaly-skin/p1Per Joel (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) SEPTEMBER 28 2017 1:03PM in Special Event Discussion and Strategy The Warrior Heroes are ready to retaliate, literally! Be careful if you go to hit one in PVP, they might just hit back! Meanwhile, Squinch still thinks the fire in his blood is due to draconic ancestry. If you don't have the Dragon Kin Squinch skin yet, you can earn it through the "Dragon Kin or Skin" quest chain. If you already have it, you'll get 3 Heroic Summons instead!

Guild Grand PVP Tourney is Coming Next Week! (October 5th) forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56649/guild-grand-pvp-tourney-is-coming-next-week-october-5th/p1Per Joel (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) SEPTEMBER 29 2017 2:43PM edited OCTOBER 2 2017 9:39AM in Announcements We're excited to announce our newest Guild event, the Guild PvP Grand Tourney! This event is similar to the Guild Games, but whereas the Guild Games are completely PvE focused, this event is completely PvP focused. A few important things to know: Similar to Guild Games, the Guild you're in at the beginning of the event is your Grand Tourney Guild. Guildmasters, be sure to have your lineups set by Sunday night! The leaderboards are completely based on PvP Trophies. Any trophies your earn are counted towards your Guild's total, and any trophies lost are deducted, until your personal contribution reaches zero. At no point can your personal contribution become negative. The event begins on Thursday, October 5th at 3pm CST. The season still begins on Wednesday at 3pm CST as per usual. There are three special buffs/debuffs running during the event to shake up the metagame! These buffs/debuffs last for the entire event. In future Grand Tourneys, we'll run different buffs/debuffs to make each event unique! Rewards are similar to the ones from Guild Games, and include Solaris tokens. There are quests that pay out event tickets. Event tickets are NOT related to Trophies in any way. However, there are some 5x repeatable quests that will pay out 500 tickets to you and 30 tickets to every other member of your guild. The majority of the tickets that can be earned in this even are from your guildmates…they really add up and are added to your inventory immediately. Best part? No mail messages to deal with! You'll get a chat notification when a guildmate earns tickets for you, but your inboxes have been spared! There are also a few quests that pay out Raid Tickets. These quests will only pay out to you personally. The event will end at 11pm CST Sunday night, similar to the Boss Invasion event so guilds have the time to shuffle their members around for the new week. Lastly, PvP win streaks are deactivated for the entire season of the Grand PVP Tourney! This means that streaks are disabled starting on Wednesday and stay that way after the event ends, but will be reactivated at the start of the following season.

Shine On in the Light Festival! forum.dungeonboss.com/discussion/56669/shine-on-in-the-light-festival/p1Per Joel (Member, Administrator, Moderator, Boss Fight) OCTOBER 2 2017 12:59PM edited OCTOBER 2 2017 1:04PM in Special Event Discussion and Strategy The Light Heroes are shining brightly with pride and power, because it's time for their turn in the... well, it's not limelight, that's what the Nature Heroes get. Sunlight. It's their turn in the sunlight. Yeah, that sounds better! So outshine your enemies and complete deLIGHTful quests for lots of tokens and rune materials! Ok, 'deLIGHTful' was a really bad one, I'm sorry. Light Heroes with alternate skins equipped will get the Electric Skin passive, which gives them a chance to shock melee attackers. You know how you can shock people when you build up static electricity? It's like that, but way more painful. And remember, the Guild PVP Grand Tourney starts on Thursday! OH! And if the town is less bright than you'd expect for a Light Festival, don't worry about it. Nothing dark or mysterious is going on, and certainly nothing spooky...
